1). What is a Segway? It's a unique battery powered "transporter" designed to help balance YOU while starting, moving, and stopping. Invented by an MIT student,a Segway is not like any other "people moving" device on the planet.
2). Is their a minimum age limit for participants? Yes, each rider needs to be 18 or older and must weigh at
least 100 lbs and no more than 250 lbs. Also, participants must sign a waiver form before the tour,
and, please bring a photo ID with you.
3). What other information should I be aware of regarding a Segway tour? Riders must be able to stand for the length of a tour (although we do take breaks) and be able to shift their weight - especially slight leaning from side to side.
4). Is it hard to use a Segway? No, it's incredibly easy and great fun! In fact, if you can walk, then you can Segway. Prior to each trip, we discuss the trip and then you will receive a thorough
introduction to the Segway X2. Each person is individually
instructed. You will learn how to go forward and
backwards - as well as turn. And after everyone has done this is where we see the smiles begin. It's at this point that you understand "why" everyone is
talking about Adventure Glides Segway Guided Tours.
5). Do trips run regardless of the weather? If it rains, we will either postpone a tour, or cancel.
Should we need to cancel, you’ll be allowed to reschedule.
NOTE: It’s our safety policy that all gliders wear a helmet. If you have
a good helmet – bring it. If not, we’ll provide one free of charge.
